I really need to quit
worrying about my page layout....

i've been helping a friend of mine learn how to make changes on her page, so it will more accurately reflect her taste. after all, that is why we change from the dland defaults, right? so we can have a page that gives a hint toward our own personalities? anyway.... i've been buried in HTML code and helping her set up links and pick colors..... and now i'm starting the edit my own page process again! argghhh!!

every time i get on a roll, it takes me days and days to get the idea out of my head. especially since right now, what i want to do is put in a neat background or wallpaper behind the main screen but not my entry table. and to do that i have to work with hubby to host some new images. which means i have to know what i want to post. which means i have to play without putting my page out "live"... and that is just too much of a pain.

on a side note, we might switch internet providers in january, and set me up with my own account and my own web hosting so i don' t have to bug hubby. watch me lose my links when we switch. (prophetic prediction here - make note!)

um, anyway
i really don' t have anything exciting to talk about. but i figured i should post anyway. to answer a question from a reader: yes, i did get the newsletter to the nice client in michigan (a day late).

last night, hubby and i worked on the shop, for about three hours. this was after supper, which is quite a big step for us. we pulled some wire for the lights, and i actually helped hubby work on it. then our friend came over and he and hubby started discussion how to hook up the complicated mess of switches by the door. meanwhile, i got minimal supervision after i was told to hook up the outlet to the box where we had just pulled wire. so, i wired not one, but TWO outlets last night - all by myself.

aren't you proud of me?

i am. :-) so, we are one step closer to finishing the shop and moving on to the kitchen, and i actually helped, and since i wired outlets and now i know how to do it, i can help wire in the kitchen, too. i'm excited!

now, i just need to convince hubby that we need ceramic tile somewhere in the shop so i can "practice"....

ps. this was fun, but WAY too much work.
